Any litter born at Doubletake has had a tremendous amount of time, money, and research put in before a breeding takes place. Both parents have had healthy testing prior to the breeding which generally includes an eye exam from an opthalmologist, hip x-rays evaluated by a radiologist through the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals, heart evaluation by a cardiologist, and dogs known to be clear of diseases for genetic tests currently available.

 Our puppies are born and raised in the house. We keep the mother and puppies on a webcam 24/7 for the first several weeks so they can be constantly monitored. All puppies are dewormed and vaccinated at appropriate ages. They are also exposed to as many different surfaces, sounds, and a variety of people as possible for socialization.
